Frequently asked questions
What sizes do I need? For most sites: 16×16 and 32×32 for browser tabs, 180×180 for Apple devices, and 64×64 as a higher-resolution fallback. Modern browsers also support SVG favicons.
Can I use my own image? This tool generates from text. For an image-based favicon, use an image converter or the SVG output and rasterize it.
Are the favicons transparent? No — they include the background color you select. For transparent backgrounds, use a PNG editor afterward.
